I have been privileged to have a global teaching practice.

  • Theodore Randall Chair of Art History at Alfred University, NY, USA for 2024.

  • Senior Researcher, University of the Applied Sciences and Minerva Art Academy, Groningen, Netherlands.

In recent years I have established various new courses, such as the Collections & Artefacts: Collections, Ceramics & Sustainability in the MA Art History & Curatorial Studies program at University of Groningen (RUG), Netherlands, and academic programs, like La Céramique comme expérience, at ENSA Limoges, France.

I have delivered lectures and seminars to a wide range of topics, including:

·      sustainability and the environmental impact of ceramics

·       digital technologies in ceramics

·       pioneers of Southern African modern ceramics,

·       emotional labour in curatorial practice,

·       colonial archaeology and indigenous pottery in South Africa

I also enjoy delivering professional development workshops for artists, helping them take their practice to the next level.
